HPS - Red Headed CPA - Recipe Kit A Cherry Pale Ale (CPA) created to add variety to our Pale Ale offering. A bit less hoppy with just a hint of cherry. Use White Labs California V Ale WLP051 yeast for a cleaner fermentation, fuller, maltier with less hopiness, for more of a tart cherry flavor and finish. This recipe kit includes all ingredients needed to make five gallons of beer.

Starting Gravity (SG):       1.045 - 1.050

Final Gravity (FG):            1.008 – 1.012

Alcohol by Volume:           5.0 – 5.5 % by volume

Hop IBU’s:                       17-21 IBU





6.6 Lb. Briess Golden Light LME


  8 oz.  Crushed Briess Caramel 60 Malt              

  4 oz.  Cherry Flavor Extract


  1 ea.  Grain steeping bag (Small)


  1 oz.  Hallertau Hops (Bittering) @ 60 minutes  


  1 oz. Cascade Hops (Finish ) @ 5 minutes


  1 Pk. Muntons Ale Yeast


  5 oz. Priming sugar
